When we embrace our trials and tribulations, and face them head on, we begin to take responsibility for ourselves and our experience of life. This fosters a connection with the source of our power that builds resilience to manage whatever may come. Developing the resourcefulness required to fashion a life that is fulfilling and supportive of our overall well-being is an ever-evolving process, and can be more clearly navigated with the help of a trusted professional.
Using a collaborative person-centred, culturally-, and trauma-informed approach, I aim to empower people to improve their quality of life through organic and systematic processes.
I can assist in addressing depression, anxiety, excessive stress, emotional regulation, interpersonal conflict, and life transitions amongst other challenges. I have extensive experience working with people impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
My lived experience helps me relate to my fellow members of the immigrant, BIPOC, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, as well as those in polyamorous and Ethically Non-Monogamous (ENM) relationships.
In my personal time I enjoy cycling, swimming, and reading in my hammock. My creative outlets include writing, acting, and expressing the clown within. My happy place is a warm coastal beach.

The reality is, everyone has mental health but not everyone has been given the tools or safe space to learn how to take care of it, let alone acknowledge that they have it. A lie many believe is that in order to go to therapy, there needs to be something very big and wrong going on in our lives, however, I like to challenge this narrative. While yes, therapy is a place to unpack big experiences, this is also a safe space to explore your day to day quality of life. Picture yourself moving into your first house. You walk in and there are some very large boxes awaiting you. As you unpack these large boxes filled with appliances, your clothes, the bedding, you also come across smaller boxes that didn’t seem important at first but hold things you need each day like a can opener, sewing kit, first aid kit and miscellaneous tools. In order for the house to come together and feel safe, all the boxes need to be unpacked. When you are ready, I’d like to help you make your internal house feel like home again.
When in a session, I may transition between various frameworks depending on your goals and how you are feeling that particular day. While this may change from time to time, what you can always expect from me is a person-entered approach. Essentially what this means is that you decide the direction of our session and I come alongside you. I look forward to patterning with you whether it be to navigate challenges of depression, anxiety, gender-based experiences, life transitions, self-worth and self esteem, stress, inter-cultural experiences or you simply want to learn how to take care of your mental health on a daily basis.
When we are not in session, I am most likely spending time with my people, reminding anyone who will listen that store bought hummus is nowhere near the same as homemade, and submerging myself into different sub-cultures in my community through food, music and conversation!

Trauma isn’t always loud. It can appear in subtle emotional, psychological, and physical ways, often rooted in “quiet” experiences like chronic stress or feeling overwhelmed. It may show up as anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, difficulty with trust or boundaries, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-worth, or avoidance. The body can react too, with chronic tension, headaches, digestive issues, fatigue, sleep problems, or heightened responses to stress. When these feelings build, it’s important to pause, breathe, and seek support. Understanding that everyone experiences these feelings at some point can help us navigate through difficulties with greater empathy and compassion for ourselves.
My commitment to advocating for mental health inspired me to delve deeper into the field of psychology to better address the challenges faced by individuals and communities. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and am currently a Master’s in Counselling Psychology candidate. On a community level, I serve as a crisis responder at a distress centre, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
As a therapist, my goal is to guide you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences to help you gain a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want to achieve. My approach is grounded in empathy and compassion, creating a safe space for you to process difficult emotions. Through our work together, I aim to empower you to take charge of your life, build resilience, and overcome life’s challenges.
I work with individuals and couples facing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I offer a client-centred and integrative approach to therapy, using a range of modalities that are trauma-informed and culturally responsive.
No matter what stage you find yourself at in your healing journey, I want you to know that every step you take is significant. Whether you’re just beginning to acknowledge your struggles or you’ve made considerable progress and are exploring deeper layers of healing, it’s important to embrace the process. Your healing matters.

Our life journey is always going to be filled with ups and downs, and although we have the strength and tools to handle most of the downs, occasionally we may need some support, encouragement, or a listening ear. I understand how upsetting and difficult these experiences may be and hope to build a partnership with you so we can face these challenges together. Travelling together on this journey, we will explore your needs, experiences, and goals, and work to uncover your strengths and resources so that we may identify and implement some solutions to the difficulties you are experiencing. I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing difficulties with stress, anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, emotional regulation, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and interpersonal conflict. Some of my personal hobbies include travelling, hiking, and reading. I also enjoy completing various do-it-yourself crafts, such as painting-by-numbers!
